We are looking for an experienced Tribe Test Engineer to join a dynamic team in Brussels. This key role involves defining and implementing the overall test strategy for the tribe, working within multiple squads, managing testing activities, and ensuring functional and non-functional test coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the tribe's test strategy, ensuring alignment with quality criteria and risk management standards.
- Plan, execute, and oversee testing activities at the delivery train level, including budget control, resource planning, and progress tracking.
- Take responsibility for the end-to-end scope and test coverage of features, contributing to testing at the epic level for functional, regression, usability, performance, and security aspects.
- Collaborate effectively with tribe members, chapter leads, and DEV and OPS engineers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Advise on test strategies and solutions, providing business expertise to ensure the effectiveness of the chosen approaches.
- Act proactively by anticipating necessary tests, timing, and areas to be tested, considering team needs, planning, and available resources.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing.
- Proficiency in testing techniques, test types, and various test levels.
- Expertise in structured and risk-based testing.
- Knowledge of software development methods and lifecycle management.
- Experience in functional and non-functional testing (e.g., regression, usability, performance, security).
- Proficiency in using test automation tools like Quality Center (QC), Cucumber, Soap, and service virtualization.
- Skills in estimation and workload calculation.
Business Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of banking products and processes.
Language Requirements:
- French: Fluent (good)
- Dutch: Fluent (good)
- English: Fluent (good)
Working Conditions:
- Telework: 50% on-site, 50% remote.

- Strong advisory skills, able to negotiate and persuade stakeholders on test strategies and solutions.
