AISB-208 Business Analyst

Our client is currently at a turning point in its technological development and is investing in its product, both from a technical and functional point of view. Their ambition? To become a market leader in investment advisory technology, working on delivering a "software as a service" for financial institutions in the cloud and serving existing and new clients through this new technology.

Tasks

A Business Analyst's tasks are varied and depend on the project you will be working on as well as your affinities and interests. Business Analysts have a wide variety of skills and interests and are assigned to teams accordingly.

The most common tasks are:

  • Participate in the collection and development of business requirements, whether they are client needs or for new R&D developments;
  • Detail these business requirements into more specific needs;
  • Standardize needs and concepts to see if they can be developed in such a way as to reply to more than one client's needs;
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, systems, and data through workshops with relevant stakeholders (clients, business experts, other BAs, architects, etc.);
  • Find solutions to meet clients' requirements using new or existing products in collaboration with our architects and senior experts;
  • Participate in workshops with clients, architects, product experts, and developers;
  • Break down a feature into user stories;
  • Develop detailed specifications and use cases that will be used by developers and QAs;
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the application;
  • Follow-up with quality officers and developers; and
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide support during the implementation phase of projects.

Requirements

  • Reactivity and adaptability will be part of your daily challenges as you will take part in workshops with various stakeholders;
  • Experience working with API-first technology, on the developing side or the integration (consumer) side;
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the banking industry (wealth management);
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly understand and resolve issues, in the context of IT-oriented projects;
  • Conceptual thinking & abstraction capacity;
  • Positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude;
  • Team-player;
  • Stress resilient;
  • Autonomous and resourceful even in uncomfortable situations;
  • Good communication skills written and oral;
  • Fluent in French;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.

Advantages

  • Experience with modeling techniques (BPMN diagrams, UML classes, state machine diagram, and sequence diagrams);
  • Experience with Enterprise Architect (Sparx);
  • Experience with Figma;
  • Experience in a software company, preferably in a product-oriented environment such as a SaaS company.
