AISM-105 Finance officer

The Finance Officer will join the Finance & Administration team of our dynamic, internationally-operating company.

Position in the team

The position reports directly to the Finance & Administration Manager and is part of a compact and efficient team of three people. Notably, one of our key colleagues operates from Madagascar, underlining our flexibility and ability to work effectively despite geographical distance.

Key responsibilities

As Finance Officer, your responsibilities will include the following on behalf of the Belgian, Luxembourg, German and Madagascan subsidiaries:

  • Accounting entry of purchase and sales invoices, payments and miscellaneous transactions
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Preparation of supplier payments
  • Follow-up of receivables and payables, reminders of overdue payments
  • Administrative support related to accounting

Skills and qualities required

We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualities:

  • Academic background: Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Organization and Rigor: We value candidates who are structured, organised and thorough, and who are able to manage the various tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Communication skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, enabling you to interact clearly and effectively with a variety of people in French; English is an asset.
  • Office Tools Proficiency: A good command of modern office automation tools, particularly O365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint), is important for this position.
  • Learning and dynamism: We are looking for a candidate with a high capacity for learning, who is dynamic and shows initiative.
  • Interest in IT: An interest in IT and technology is an asset, as it makes it easier to adapt to our systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of Odoo: Experience with Odoo ERP would be a plus, although not essential.
