We are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead for Infrastructure Support to manage and oversee the operations of our infrastructure support team. This role involves organizing and coordinating team activities, ensuring high performance, and providing excellent service to internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ICT domains and infrastructure management, excellent interpersonal and managerial skills, and the ability to work under pressure. A key part of the role will be maintaining a high level of coordination with various teams, including Infrastructure Architects, Project Managers, and the Infra Support Team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the organization and operations of the infrastructure support team.
- Report on the activities and performance of the team to the LIA Service Desk Manager.
- Organize training and knowledge transfer sessions for team members.
- Manage staffing levels based on utilization and capacity models.
- Develop and maintain the team’s schedules and rosters.
- Maintain internal procedures and work instructions for the infrastructure team.
Key Duties:
- Manage and oversee the team’s operations and activities.
- Create and maintain shift planning, ensuring alignment with team members.
- Oversee incident management and problem-solving processes.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, such as project managers, to allocate resources efficiently.
- Act as the escalation point for the infrastructure support team.
- Arrange site access for interventions in data centers (DCs) of member states.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time onsite
- Business hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in ICT domains, preferably as a team lead in infrastructure support or a comparable role.
Technical expertise in the following domains:
- Storage: HPE 3PAR, HPE Primera, HPE StoreOnce (backup), Veeam, Ceph.
- Virtualization: VMware.
- Operating Systems: RHEL, MS Windows.
- Physical Infrastructure: HPE iLO, rack management systems.
- Networking: Cisco ACI, switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing.
- Experience with JIRA and ticketing tools (e.g., HPE SM9).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in complex environments.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Experience working with EU clients or other public institutions is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or an equivalent qualification through relevant experience.
Language Requirements:
- English: Proficient (CEFRL Level: Minimum C1).
Additional Requirements:
- EU Secret PSC is required for this role.
